Privacy at Polus

Privacy commitment: Polus collects only the information needed to operate its products, respond to contact requests, protect accounts, and improve the learning experience.

Website and contact data

The contact form collects the submitted contact and interest information for follow-up. Website operations may record limited technical data such as page, referrer, viewport, language, timezone, and a browser-generated visitor identifier. No GameLab account is created through the contact form.

GameLab account data

When an adult or parent/guardian creates a GameLab account, the system stores the email, normalized email, display name, password hash, account role and status, verification and account timestamps, policy-acceptance timestamps, registration source, security records, and signed-in GameLab progress. It does not ask for a learner's date of birth.

How account data is used

• Verify email ownership and provide sign-in and password recovery.
• Preserve GameLab progress for a signed-in player.
• Send necessary account messages and protect against abuse.
• Maintain the authoritative PostgreSQL account record and a restricted Google Sheets operational mirror of verified accounts.

Service providers and security

Google Gmail delivers transactional account messages. Google Sheets holds the restricted operational mirror. Hosting and database providers process data needed to operate GameLab. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; verification, reset, and session tokens are stored as hashes or encrypted job data rather than plaintext credentials.

Contact Polus through its official contact page to request access, correction, or deletion. Polus reviews privacy procedures as products and account features continue to mature.
